How-To Guide

How to Read the Home Page

On our blog’s home page, you will see the header with “tabs” at the top that will take you to that page.

There is also a search box you can use to search the blog for whatever you may be looking for.

In the main body, you will see three columns.  The left hand column contains such things as:

  1. “Subscribe to 3 Under 3 by Email” – Here you can enter your email address and every time we post new content it will just be delivered to you inbox, that way you don’t have to always come back to the blog to see our new content.  Don’t worry you won’t get any junk mail just new info from our blog.
  2. “Recent Posts” – Just a simple list of our most recent post content, click the links and you will go to that post.
  3. “Recent Comments” – The most recent comment activity on some of our posts.
The center column contains the meat and potatoes of our blog.  You can see the most recent 10 posts, with the newest at the top and the oldest at the bottom.  You can read the post right from the home page or click on the heading of the post to go to that post’s page.  At the bottom of each post on the home page you will see a “comment” link (or just a box to leave your reply when you are on the post page), where you can go to leave a comment on a post.

One of the great things about blogging is the discussions that sometimes erupt in the comments.

We get an email alert when any comment appears.  We are sometimes fast, and sometimes slow, but we will take the time to read and respond to every comment.  Read a few of our posts, leave a few comments, let’s have some fun.

A note about Anonymity, many people are not comfortable writing comments with their true names attached. There is an easy solution… just use your first name only.

The right hand column contains:

  1. “Tags” - This is a “cloud” of topics we have been posting about.  The bigger the word the more post that fall under that topic.  Click on the words in the “cloud” to go to a list of posts under that topic.
  2. “What’s Goin’ On?” - The archives so to speak.  You can navigate the calendar and go back to some of our older content not listed on the home page.  Just click the date.
And that in a nutshell are the basics of our little piece of internet real estate.  We know that most of the people that visit our blog are very well accquainted with the basics of navigating a blog site, this guide is obviously not for you (no offense).
